Wonderful Cornwall
the barns are just a stone's throw from....

If you're thinking of exploring Cornwall for your holiday or short break, with the convenience of self-catering, then Bodmin is perfect - being centrally located and just off the main A30 trunk road, which divides the two coasts.

Beaches
The barn cottages are just 15 minutes from either coast. On Cornwall's rugged north coast; Polzeath and Rock are the nearest and most popular beaches. Further down, but only about 20mins away, Trevone, Harlyn and Constantine offers miles of golden Sands. Then you have a choice of Watergate Bay, Newquay's five beaches and the dunes of Crantock. Not forgetting the resorts of Port Isaac and Padstow - home of Rick Stein's restaurant.

On the South Coast are the resorts of Looe, Fowey, Mevagissey and Carlyon Bay.

If you've ever been to Cornwall before you'll know that beaches as far North as Bude and as far south as St Ives are all within a 1 hour drive.

Attractions
This could take while. Apart from the many interesting places to visit in Bodmin; Bodmin Gaol (Jail), The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway, The Military Museum, Lanhydrock House, Pencarrow House and The Camel Trail (not forgetting the Beacon Nature Reserve - the obelisk that's towered over Bodmin for over a century).

Further afield, but only a 15 minute drive is the World famous Eden Project - a must see if you're visiting the area. For the kids, you've got Colliford Lake Country Park, Crealey Adventure Park, Flambards, The National Marine Aquarium, Blue Reef Aquarium and hundreds more great places to entertain!

Nature
With an abundance of opportunities to experience the wild outdoors, Bodmin is a great holiday destination. The Camel Trail, which is a footpath following an old railway line through the valley basin along the River Camel, through forest and woodlands - truly spectacular for cycling and walking. Bodmin Moor, which you can reach from the northbound Camel Trail via St Breward, is a breathtaking landscape with tors, stone circles, wild ponies and horses, lakes, dams... and Jamaica Inn.
